Abseil Thomond – a 1st for Down Syndrome Limerick
The inaugural Take a Leap for DSL is happening on September 18th! Abseil Thomond Park is a fundraiser to raise money for Down Syndrome Limerick. Kneat are one of the sponsors for the event. Thomond Park Stadium is an iconic landmark in Limerick and the home of Munster Rugby. It is the first time that Down Syndrome Limerick have organised an abseiling event and they are hoping that many dare devils will take part and help them to raise funds for them so that they can continue to offer services to children and adults with Down syndrome. DSL are also looking to expand their services by opening a satellite clinic in West Limerick.
They have a few corporate sponsors lined up for the event. The first of which is Kneat.
Kneat develops and provides SaaS regulatory software for the Life Sciences industry. Founded and headquartered in Limerick in 2006, Kneat has grown to be trusted by 7 of the world’s top 10 life sciences companies and employs over 150 people from the Limerick and Munster Region forming deep ties to the area. To give back to the community behind its success, Kneat is growing its support of grass roots community organizations including Down Syndrome Limerick.
Ellen Tuffy, Chairperson of Down Syndrome Limerick says,
“We are delighted to have Kneat on board. They have given us so much support this year and we are so grateful to them for their continued support of the work that we do for children and adults with Down syndrome that are availing of services with us”.
Kneat have already sponsored the Tour de Munster and Three Counties Cycle events this year for Down Syndrome Limerick.
