Abseil Thomond – a 1st for Down Syndrome Limerick
The inaugural Take a Leap for DSL is happening on September 18th! Abseil Thomond Park is a fundraiser to raise money for Down Syndrome Limerick. Troy Packaging are one of the sponsors for the event. Thomond Park Stadium is an iconic landmark in Limerick and the home of Munster Rugby. It is the first time that Down Syndrome Limerick has organised an abseiling event and they are hoping that many dare devils will take part and help them to raise funds for them so that they can continue to offer services to children and adults with Down syndrome. DSL are also looking to expand their services by opening a satellite clinic in West Limerick.
They have a few corporate sponsors lined up for the event. Today we focus on Troy Packaging.
Troy Packaging are based in Limerick and proud to be 100% Irish owned. They were established in 2009 and the team have over 18 years experience in packaging and logistics, which offers a great service to their clients. They create a packaging solution to meet their clients’ needs as they are aware that each business has different requirements and packaging solutions are not a “one-size-fits-all”.
Troy Packaging cater for customers on a local, regional and national basis through out Ireland and UK across a range of sectors. They offer lots of services including packaging design and consultation, pack cost analysis and costing, product sourcing as well as regular updates on the latest products and innovations.
Troy Packaging pride themselves on being a people-centred business. As well as focussing on their clients needs they also consider the needs of the wider community and get involved in community initiatives and fundraising activities.
Ellen Tuffy, Chairperson of Down Syndrome Limerick says,
“We love Troy Packaging’s mantra of being a people-centred business. We can certainly vouch for them regarding that! They have very kindly sponsored our abseiling fundraising event at Thomond Park and we are delighted to have local Limerick businesses involved in helping us to deliver services to children and adults with Down syndrome. Troy Packaging are growing from strength to strength and with their help we will too. We are so grateful to Ger and the team for believing in the work that we do and wish them continued success in their own business.”
