Paediatric First Aid – Saturday 19th October – in person

This is an in-person session which covers the following topics:

• What is Paediatric First Aid (Regulations, Obligations),
• How to call emergency services,
• Brief introduction to circulation wounds and bleeding, Management of nose bleeds etc, Application of dressings to wounds,
• Management of heart attack, Introduction to Infant and Paediatric CPR,
• Management of choking casualty – Management of unconscious casualty – recovery position,
• Recognition & First Response to Sprains / Fractures,
• Asthma Awareness, Epilepsy Awareness, Anaphylaxis,
• Management of burns and application of burns dressings.

Training will be held in Optima Training (in Castletroy Business Park, near DSL).

The Training is Free but Booking is essential. Class size is limited to 12.
