DSL are pleased to offer a series of 3 online Workshops for parents/guardians over the coming 3 months providing guidance and strategies for Mealtime Challenges. Teresa Foley, Occupational Therapist, will be presenting these workshops on
- Understanding feeding challenges in children with Down Syndrome
- Creating joyful mealtime routines
- Creative ways to increase variety and amount of food eaten by your child
Dates and Times: February 25 , March 25 and April 29 from 7.30pm to 9pm each evening (to include the Talk and a Q & A)
Teresa qualified as an occupational therapist in 2008 and is Principal Occupational Therapist at Shooting Stars Occupational Therapy. Teresa is qualified in many areas. She has worked as a National Specialist feeding therapist for years. She worked with a team to establish therapy services for children with Avoidant & Restricive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID). She is also trained in Sensory Integration, and Autism diagnosis (ADOS training). In addition, Teresa is a Lactation Consultant and a Licensed Sleep Practitioner and helps families of neurodiverse children.
