The Tour de Munster is now in its 22nd year. From 4th August, over 100 cyclists will pedal over 600km for 4 days around the 6 counties of Munster. The Tour de Munster has been raising funds for the Munster branches of Down Syndrome Ireland for the last 12 years. To date almost €4 million has been raised for charities as well as raise awareness of the vital work that they do. Each year companies very kindly sponsor the jerseys for the event. Neptune Ribs is one such company that is supporting people with Down syndrome.

Renate Murphy gives the reason why Neptune Ribs are supporting the Tour de Munster and the Down syndrome charity,
“We have seen and admire the enormous impact that DSI has in improving the lives of those touched by Down Syndrome. The charity is a special one and we are delighted to be associated with the Tour de Munster and wish all the cyclists a very successful Tour in 2022”.
Ellen Tuffy, Chairperson of Down Syndrome Limerick says,
“Neptune Ribs have supported the Down syndrome community in the past. However, this is the first year that Neptune Ribs are involved with the Tour de Munster as a jersey sponsor and we would like to thank them for continuing to share the journey with us. A special mention to Waterville Technology for their support also. Their generous sponsorship helps us to continue the work that we are doing in supporting people with Down syndrome to achieve their full potential through the provision of supports, services and social activities. As a parent, this sponsorship means so much to us. “
