Roches Feeds sponsor Tour de Munster event for Down syndrome

Roches Feeds are back again as sponsors for Tour de Munster 22 in support of Down Syndrome Limerick

The Tour de Munster is now in its 22nd year.  From 4th August, over 100 cyclists will pedal over 600km for 4 days around the 6 counties of Munster.  The Tour de Munster has been raising funds for the Munster branches of Down Syndrome Ireland for the last 12 years.  To date almost €4 million has been raised for charities as well as raise awareness of the vital work that they do.  Each year companies very kindly sponsor the jerseys for the event.  Roches Feeds is one such company that is supporting people with Down syndrome in Limerick.

Roches Feeds

Roches Feeds Limerick, established in 1879, is one of the last family owed Feed Mills in the country. Roches Feeds has developed and transformed from a small manufacturing unit to one of the country’s leading manufacturers of animal feed. At Roches Feeds, they have a unique connection as a family business; they deal with farmers in their family business and they believe this link is important to build on.

Collette Fleming of Roches Feeds says,

“We are proud to be one once again associated with Tour de Munster and Down Syndrome Limerick. It is an incredible organisation that gives a support network to families and individuals with Down syndrome. The charity creates inclusion and gives all its members the platform to reach their full potential, be it through Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy etc.  The added bonus of any donations created in the region, benefits the Down Syndrome Community of Limerick and the greater Mid West Region.

Ellen Tuffy, Chairperson of Down Syndrome Limerick says,

“Roches Feeds have sponsored the Tour de Munster for many years.  We are so appreciative of their continued support for the work that we are doing in providing services and supports for children and adults with Down syndrome in the region.”
