Tour de Munster comes to Limerick!
The 23rd edition of the Tour De Munster rolls into Limerick, on 10th August. Over 110 cyclists, led by the legendary cyclist, Sean Kelly, are due to arrive in King John’s Castle at approximately 5.30pm.
The cyclists will depart the English Market in Cork on Thursday morning and make their way through East Cork, to Lismore in Waterford and then on to Tipperary. On the evening of Day 1, Limerick will provide a warm welcome to these amazing men and women who are cycling over 600km for 4 days to support the Munster branches of Down Syndrome Ireland.
Before the cyclists arrive, Down Syndrome Limerick are hosting an abseil fundraising event at the Castle to celebrate and support the Tour de Munster. Be sure to come along to witness the fun and the festivities. You can support our abseilers through the donate button at the bottom of the page.
Members of Munster Rugby will join us in King John’s Castle too. Tour de Munster are one of the chosen charity partners for Munster Rugby in 2023!
Please come along to welcome the cyclists to Limerick. It is always a positive and exciting event to see hundreds of cyclists come up Nicholas Street!
