Tour de Munster Sponsor Spotlight: Glenstal Foods

Now in it’s 21st year, the Tour de Munster, will once again complete over 600km throughout the 6 counties of Munster, raising funds and awareness for Down Syndrome Limerick and the neighbouring Munster branches. Each year local companies very kindly sponsor the jerseys for the event.  And we are delighted to showcase those local businesses this week.

Glenstal Foods:

Glenstal Foods is based in Murroe, County Limerick. We’ve built  our business in the heart of Ireland’s lush Golden Vale, specialising in key sectors of the Irish dairy food industry – retail, food service and manufacturing.

Since 1995, we’ve established strong relationships and key partnerships with multinational companies, sending our premium Irish dairy products around the world

Richard Walsh of Glenstal Foods says, “We have a personal involvement in the Tour de Munster for over a decade. Tour de Munster is such a worthy cause as 100% of the proceeds go directly to the provision of services to people affected with Down syndrome. It is a service that is very close to our hearts and we can see the tangible benefits of the funds that are raised in helping fulfil the potential of each individual.  The Limerick Branch provides amazing and much needed services to people with Down syndrome and their families across Limerick. They are reliant on the funds raised from events like the Tour De Munster to provide these services”.

Ellen Tuffy, Chairperson of Down Syndrome Limerick says, “Glenstal Foods have supported our charity for a long time.  Not only do they sponsor the event but Richard also cycles the Tour de Munster each year.   We would like to thank them for being so involved in our DSL family and for continuing to support the services delivered to our children and adult members with Down syndrome, which helps them to reach their full potential”.
