Now in it’s 21st year, the Tour de Munster, will once again complete over 600km throughout the 6 counties of Munster, raising funds and awareness for Down Syndrome Limerick and the neighbouring Munster branches. Each year local companies very kindly sponsor the jerseys for the event.  And we are delighted to showcase those local businesses this week.

Roches Feeds

Roches Feeds Limerick, established in 1879, is one of the last family owed Feed Mills in the country. Roches Feeds has developed and transformed from a small manufacturing unit to one of the country’s leading manufacturers of animal feed. At Roches Feeds, they have a unique connection as a family business; they deal with farmers in their family business and they believe this link is important to build on.

Collette Fleming of Roches Feeds says, “We are proud to be one of many companies within the region to be associated with Tour de Munster and Down Syndrome Limerick. It is an incredible organisation that gives a support network to families and individuals with Down syndrome. The charity creates inclusion and gives all its members the platform to reach their full potential, be it through Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy etc.  The added bonus of any donations created in the region, benefits the Down Syndrome Community of Limerick and the greater Mid West Region.

Ellen Tuffy, Chairperson of Down Syndrome Limerick says, “Roches Feeds have sponsored the Tour de Munster for the last couple of years.  We are so appreciative of their continued support for the work that we are doing in providing services and supports for children and adults with Down syndrome in the region.”
